My mixed-media work is often inspired by current events and global issues affecting us socially, politically, culturally, and environmentally. Like my artist’s books, my work incorporates a variety of papers, fabric, beads, and found objects, using

their textures and histories to add depth and meaning.
 

I aim to create layered compositions that invite viewers to look beyond the obvious, discover hidden details, and explore

the stories and questions within each work.

More recently, I have drawn inspiration from Islamic and Middle Eastern art, particularly Arabic calligraphy, ornamental patterns, and geometric forms. Exploring calligraphy as both language and visual expression allows me to reconnect with

my cultural heritage while reinterpreting artistic traditions through a contemporary lens.
