BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Hard cover book; covered in thick, fibrous black handmade paper with a square hand die-cut window in the middle of the cover showing the full moon. Colored beads embellish the spine. The book is wrapped in black leather, and fastened with leather thongs. The overall design theme of the artist’s book is reminiscent of a Native American medicine bundle.

 

PRINTING:

Digital printing on textured paper, interspersed with decorative handmade Thai sheets.

 

TEXT:
The text block incorporates decorative paper, round die-cut over

the word moon, gauze-like material, and a black feather.
The end-sheets are vellum with freehand etching of the title of the book;
the last page has a black feather.

 

BOX:

The leather-wrapped book sits inside a rectangular box covered in Japanese bookcloth and fastened with a handmade leather clasp.

Edition was originally conceived & produced in 2003;
